Gold Hair Vine with 14K gold plated flowers and Swarovski crystals
This gold hair vine design was featured in my last Alexandra park photoshoot blog post back in March with Mick Cookson Photography . (You can see it on his blog here. You won’t regret it clicking the link – his blog is AWESOME!). I call this hair vine MONIKA simply because my friend and model Monika Popper has worn it so gracefully :-))

When I designed this headpiece I was inspired by the spring blossoms. I wanted to make something which would look feminine and flexible, yet sparkly enough so one would feel special but comfortable wearing it. If you were familiar with my style in the past, you would know I used to love making big, bold, statement pieces. This time however I wanted to do this hair vine with tiny elements, effortlessly intertwined, envisaging it shining on soft curls or an elegantly messy updo. So I decided to use soft gold plated wire and small 14K gold plated flowers with cubic zircronia centers. The Swarovski navette rhinestones (as tiny leaves) and crystals added sparkles while hand wired fresh water pearls softened the look and gave it a more natural feel. It could be fastened with thin ribbons at the back, or simply pinned down whatever way you want with bobby pins. I was so happy when it came out and I guess my customers like it too! I have made a few of this since and here is what was finished today for an October bride.
This Monike gold hair vine is available to order here . Although I love the warm subtle gold colour, this design can be made in silver, too, in case silver is your colour. Simply choose silver from the drop down options.
I guess I will call it a day now. Tomorrow will be the first day kids go back to school and I am a little bit nervous LOL. Good night and see you soon 😉
